Biography
Jen currently works in the Division of Psychiatry and Applied Psychology as an Assistant Professor in Mental Health. Jen has worked at the University of Nottingham since 2014, on an EMAHSN funded project exploring community stroke services in the East Midlands and an NIHR funded project Achieving Quality of Life in Dementia using Crisis Teams (Aqueduct). Jen has experience in both quantitative and qualitative methods. Past research includes involvement in the Cognitive Function and Ageing Study Wales (CFAS Wales), a multicentre investigation into cognitive functioning in older people. This study, coupled with the MRC funded Cognitive Function and Ageing Study II, explored cognitive functioning, health and well-being on a large scale with a particular focus on the role of subjective memory complaints and their influence on mood and cognitive functioning. Additionally, through the EMAHSN funded stroke rehabilitation project, Jen developed a series of workshops to deliver to several teams across the region to enhance multidisciplinary working, investigated how data were used across the stroke care pathway, and assisted with the development of patient facing documents to aid navigation of the care pathway.
