Abstract
In the final chapter, the editors return to the questions posed in the first chapter and reflect on the recurring themes running through the book. Despite significant challenges to implementing trauma-informed practices in forensic settings, the contents of this book are grounds for cautious optimism. Moreover, there are suggestions that a trauma-informed approach, with its focus on fostering physical and psychological safety for all, could contribute to managing endemic problems such as institutional violence and staff burnout. At the same time, we must not regard trauma-informed forensic care as a panacea; it is still in its early stages, and it is important that interventions are thoroughly and continuously evaluated.
