Abstract
Aim: To change the current acceptance letter to make it clearer for recipients and reduce administration time spent on emails / phonecalls.
Following a patient questionnaire it was clear that clients did not have the ‘full picture’ in regards to their care and what to expect on the neurodevelopmental pathway. Letter changes for specific diversities and an infographic process map was created to visualise the pathway for patients to help them know and understand what to expect regarding their experience at CWPT.
Tools Used:
Staff questionnaires;
Process Mapping - https://aqua.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/qsir-pdsa-cycles-model-for-improvement.pdf;
Driver Diagram - https://aqua.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/qsir-driver-diagrams.pdf.
Project Impact: Following the changes made, clients reported a 25% improvement in communication regarding their neurodevelopmental experience.
