Abstract
The major resource underpinning Dangerous and Severe Personality Disorder (DSPD) services is the workforce. In order to deliver appropriate interventions which promote change and ensure safe and efficient practice: high quality staff education, training, teamwork and supervision are needed. This paper outlines a model for workforce development which integrates these elements to ensure that staff are prepared for, engaged in and supported in their efforts to provide treatment intervention and management to this client group.
