Abstract
Reviews the book Therapeutic relationships with offenders: An introduction to the psychodynamics of forensic mental health nursing edited by Anne Aiyegbusi and Jenifer Clarke-Moore (2009). I very much enjoyed this book. It helped me to reflect on my current work with patients in a medium secure unit and related teaching and writing. Much of the content accorded with my own experience, and I found the book reinvigorating and refreshing. Overall, this book is a significant contribution to the forensic mental health nursing literature, and also has much to offer therapeutic community (TC) workers and other mental health professionals and students of various disciplines. It also includes material of relevance to service users and carers. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
