Pharmacologic treatment of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder

Abstract
Amphetamines and methylphenidate and, less often, nonstimulants (atomoxetine, clonidine, and guanfacine) are used to treat ADHD. Inattentiveness and restlessness are improved more than quality-of-life measures in short-term trials.
